Government is organizing 'Kerala Tourism Ente Nadu',
an exclusive Meet to bring together Non Resident Keralities (NRK)
from across the world on December 23 and 24 at Kochi.
Over two million non-resident Keralites have played
a key role in spreading the social and cultural heritage of this
beautiful state around the world. Having contributed substantially
to the growth of Kerala's economy, and now the Kerala is look forward
to the whole- hearted support of the Non Resident Keralites(NRK)
along the residents in further strengthening the State's progress
as the fastest growing tour destination in Asia.
The object of organizing the Meet is to make NRK
partners across the world for the development of Kerala Tourism.
The Kerala government is expecting the 'Ente Nadu' initiative will
facilitates the Non resident Keralites to invest in the tourism
sector as well as bringing & attracting more tourists to the
State. The Exclusive Meet’ Ente Nadu’ is an initiative
welcome movement to boost the Kerala tourism industry as it already
started facing the lesser inflow of tourists due to global economic
slowdown.
The highlight of the meet will be an opportunity
for a dispersion of the people to join the Malayalee Tourism Brand
Ambassador Programme , which will be providing on-line opportunities
for Non Resident Keralites to earn special privileges and incentives
for increase the flow of tourists from Gulf countries, motivating
people to visit Kerala through such way of invest to the tourism
sector or become a partners in private ventures like resorts, hotels,
service apartments, and home stays etc.
The NRK meet will be held at Le Meridien,Kochi ,
during the dates of 23rd Dec 2008 and 24th Dec 2008 . This Non Resident
Keralite meet is organised jointly by the Department of Tourism
and the State Industries Department. Tourism Resorts Kerala Ltd.
(TRKL) will act as the nodal agency for the event. And NORKA (Non-Resident
Keralite Affairs Department ), KSIDC (Kerala State Industrial Development
Corporation), KFC( Kerala Financial Corporation), KTDC (Kerala Tourism
Development Corporation) and the PRD (State Public Relations Directorate)
are the main partners of this meet.
